The Color Run comes to La Crosse
Non-competitive 5k meant for people to have fun
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — One of the most colorful 5k’s in the nation is coming to La Crosse.
About 5,500 people are expected down at Riverside Park Saturday morning for The Color Run.
Organizers were there Friday setting up and putting the final touches on the race.
During the run participants will be doused with clouds of color.
The 5k run and walk is a non competitive race. That means it’s not timed and there are no awards given out. The run is just a way for people to have fun, cut loose, and stay active.
“No one is going to judge you, no one cares if you came in last, we want you to go wear your and your bright colors and come with your friends and just be happy and enjoy the time with us and then you can go home to your lives, but while your here, we’re just going to encourage you to party with us and have a great time,” said The Color Run Race Director Kari Dawson.
The event starts Saturday morning at 8 a.m. down at Riverside Park in La Crosse.
