The Democracy Tour makes a stop in La Crosse
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The Democracy Tour made a stop in La Crosse on Sunday.
Local social and political groups attended to share their work.
Organizers of the tour say one of their goals is to raise awareness, inspiration, and action on social issues, which includes the importance of voting.
“If all the people that felt like their voice doesn’t matter made the extra effort to get out and vote, it would make a huge difference,” said Timothy Cordon, coordinator of Building Unity.
By the end of the tour in September, the ‘Unity Mobile’ will have traveled over 3,000 miles.
The Democracy Tour’s next stop is Sunday in Viroqua.
