The Parenting Place gives diapers to those in need
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — On Saturday, The Parenting Place partnered with St. Elias Church to hand out diapers to those unable to afford them.
“Anybody can have a hard month. Anybody can lose a job or have a car break down. It doesn’t matter if you’re low-income or middle class, you might have a hard month and you might not have the money to buy diapers because they’re really expensive,” said the Parenting Place communication and outreach specialist Abby Lee.
On the last Saturday of every month, the Parenting Place will hold an event at St. Elias Church from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. where anyone can come and pick up diapers if they are in need.
Donations are accepted at all locations of the Parenting Place and Once Upon a Child in Onalaska.
