Thilmany notifies state about plant closing

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (AP) — About 100 factory workers in the Fox Valley could soon be out of a job.

Thilmany has notified the state that it’s closing its International Converter plant in Kaukauna as part of a sale. The layoffs are expected to start at the end of next month and will be finished by the end of February.

Thilmany gave no other details about the sale, including who the buyer is or potential plans for the site.

WLUK-TV says the packaging facility is located adjacent to the main Thilmany paper mill, which is not affected by this decision.
