Three Rivers Roleo comes to Onalaska

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – The 13th annual Three Rivers Roleo is underway at the Great River Landing off the Mississippi and Black rivers in Onalaska. Professional log rollers competed Saturday, while amateurs  gave it a try Sunday.

More than 30 professional athletes attended the event, including five past and present world champions. Event organizers were happy to have the public back in person this year. Last year many events were canceled because of the pandemic.

“Year three we added the pros and then we just continued to grow,” said Three Rivers Roleo director Katie Burke. “We had five years on Fox Sports. which was amazing for the sport for this area. and now the new thing in 2021 was yesterday with the professional boom running”

The amateur event had children as young as 5 and adults as old as 50 competing.
