Good chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and into the weekend
Showers and Thunderstorms Moving in Today
An upper level trough to our west will move into our area today and give us showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for thunderstorms will be between 12pm-5pm this afternoon. Some fo the storms may contain heavy rain.
Today’s Forecast
We will start the day off partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 70s. Scattered thunderstorms look to begin early this afternoon, followed by another round of storms later in the afternoon. Rain chances at 50% today but dwindle to 30% tonight.
Looking Ahead…
We look to get a break in the wet weather tomorrow, but thunderstorms return to the forecast this weekend with rain chances at 60%. Some of the thunderstorms this weekend could turn strong to severe. Next week looks a lot drier with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
