Tomah VA announces 100-day plan for improvements
New plan aims to expand care, improve employee relations
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — Amid its recovery after investigations into over-prescribing medications, the Tomah VA announced a new plan to further improve patient care.
The new 100-day plan revealed Friday aims to make care more openly available, improve employee relations, and rebuild the trust lost in the VA. The VA will work towards these goals by expanding its psychiatric division, opening an Employee Wellness Center and Personal Development Plans, reestablishing the Diversity Committee, and more.
This comes after a 30-day plan announced in June which addressed the cultural change, improved tools for providers, access for veterans, and the employee-leadership relationship.
