Tomah’s Connor Prielipp ready for next step as MLB Draft approaches

When the MLB Draft concludes next Tuesday, Tomah graduate Connor Prielipp is expected to have a new home in the big leagues.  Despite undergoing Tommy John surgery 13 months ago, the left-handed pitcher is projected by many scouts to be a first or second-round pick in this year’s Draft.

“It’s what you dream of as a little kid,” Prielipp said. “With the injury, the last two years for me have been really hard, but it just gave me a new perspective, and you never know when your last pitch is going to be, so just keep working as hard as you can every day.”

The MLB Draft begins on Sunday, July 17.
