Tornadoes dot Midwest, damaging homes
Tornadoes struck throughout the Midwest Monday evening, damaging homes and even setting a record for the earliest tornado ever seen in the state of Minnesota.
Minnesota’s previous earliest tornado was March 18, which happened in 1968, according to reports. The new record tornado touched down near the cities of Zimmerman and Princeton, Minnesota.
In all, the region was pummeled with 29 tornadoes, according to reports. The storms damaged homes and injured and displaced residents, according to an ABC News report.
Oak Grove, Missouri, was among the cities hardest hit. Some 100-200 people are being reported as displaced by storms that damaged dozens of homes, the ABC report stated.
