Tornado knocks down buildings, trees in Monroe County
A tornado damaged a barn and snapped trees Wednesday afternoon in Monroe County, according to the National Weather Service.
The tornado traveled a total of 6 miles. No injuries or deaths were reported.
The destroyed barn was on County Road T in Norwalk, but that wasn’t the only spot storms hit. The Norwalk Sportsman’s Club building also suffered serious damage.
County Road T was temporarily blocked off to traffic Wednesday afternoon because of debris and downed power lines, but reopened after it was cleared.
More damage was reported across the county.
