Tour bus driver fired for watching videos while driving

A New York City tour bus driver was caught watching a television program on his phone while behind the wheel of the bus, reports local news station WABC.

The passenger, Barry Fisk, recorded the video of the driver on his cellphone and posted it to Facebook. The tour company, “Get Your Guide,” has since apologized and offered the passenger a refund. A company spokesperson also said the driver has been fired.

“We’re keenly aware of our responsibility for the safety of each and every activity offered on our platform. We thoroughly vet all activities submitted to our marketplace before approval to ensure each and every one is amazing and safe.”
