Toys for Tots barrels distributed through La Crosse area
News 8 Now has a barrel to accept donations
LA CROSSE AREA (WKBT) – While you might of be thinking of Halloween, some local volunteers are thinking ahead to the holidays.
Friday morning, the La Crosse Jaycees dropped off Toys for Tots donation barrels throughout our community.
That includes one at News 8 Now.
Organizers hope for a repeat of last year’s successful campaign.
“We didn’t even know if we could do it at all because of COVID,” said Lyndsey Langer, the Jaycees’ media co-chair. “And instead, we could and the community stepped out in a huge way and we helped more families than ever, we had more donations than ever. And it just can bring a person to tears if you really sit and think about it.”
The barrels will be out through Dec. 3.
