Tractor drivers team up for a good cause

CHASEBURG, Wis. (WKBT)- If you were around the Chaseburg Village Park this morning you may have seen an unusual amount of tractors.

That’s because the American Cancer Society Sole Burner of Chaseburg is having their 10th annual tractor ride for cancer.

Participants ride their tractors to Norwegian Hollow for lunch and then return to Chaseburg Park later in the afternoon.

Around 35 tractors and 50 people signed up for the event bringing the community together for a good cause.

“Our community is a really strong little community, but it’s not just us, it opens up to the whole area. So our Sole Burner raises over 100 thousand dollars. for the American Cancer Society every year. And if it wasn’t for these little communities that came together we wouldn’t be able to do that,” said Co-Chair of the Chaseburg Sole Burner, Linda DeGarmo.

Participants paid 20 dollars to join and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Sole Burner of Chaseburg event that’s happening on September 25th.
