‘Transparency in Policing’ website lists data from the La Crosse Police Department
Page includes information about use of work, calls for service
A ‘Transparency in Policing’ webpage is now available to show data from the La Crosse Police Department.
The page includes information about use of force, calls for service, training and budget expenses.
The page follows a five year strategic plan that identified transparency as a core value of the department.
Following calls for transparency from police departments across the U.S. the department pushed to finalize the design of the page.
The launch of the website is part of, and not the end of, communicating to the people in our area.
“I hope our community takes advantage of looking at our information to understand who we are as a department. And also to provide feedback on what they would like to see. We also think this area of our website will evolve and will provide additional information as we receive feedback form our community,” said La Crosse Police Chief Shawn Kudron.
The transparency page is available on the La Crosse Police Department’s page on the City of La Crosse’s website.
