Treat packages provide message of thanks to teachers in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Teachers in our area are getting a special treat to thank them for what they do for our community.

Care packages are coming to School District of La Crosse teachers this week.

The packages from the La Crosse Public Education Foundation include fresh fruit and snacks for the teachers.

While teachers work hard every year, this year the gifts are a special way to say thank you.

“It’s really great to be appreciated and just realizing that people are coming in each day to school and working with students. Even though, you know, we’re doing it from a virtual setting,” said Logan Middle School special education teacher Dee Langrehr.

The treats are in part a substitute for the LPEF’s annual Thank A Teacher Day which is usually held in May.
