Trempealeau Co. mother, son make Rose Bowl trip in honor of loved one

PASADENA, Cal. (WDJT)- There are lots of Wisconsin football fans in California right now.

Of course, they are there for the Rose Bowl game where the Badgers will take on the Oregon Ducks.

For many of those fans, it’s about having a good time and hopefully seeing the Badgers win.

But for others, like Michael George and his mom Ann from Trempealeau County, this trip is in memory of a loved one.

“My mom and I decided to come out for it. My dad passed away a couple of years ago and it’s kinda a bucket list thing for the both of us so here we are,” said Michael George.

Ann George said, “We always wanted to do this, but he was never well enough to do it, he had a heart transplant in Madison and he died two years ago.”
