Trempealeau man arrested in connection to fatal crash
TOWN OF TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WKBT) — A Trempealeau man was arrested over the weekend for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle in connection with a fatal crash.
Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Micah Harris, 39, on Friday after learning Harris had a detectable amount of “a restricted controlled substance” in his blood that was tested after the July 16, 2020, crash, according to a press release.
According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, Harris was driving on Hwy. 35 near Bemis Street in the town of Trempealeau at about 4:43 a.m. when he crossed the center line and struck a car, driven by Monica Knepper, 57, of Trempealeau head on. Knepper was pronounced dead at the scene.
