TSA program makes getting through airport security faster

planeLA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) A TSA program is making it more efficient for people to get through the long lines at the airport.

The La Crosse Regional Airport is hosting a TSA PreCheck event this week.

TSA PreCheck allows identified low-risk air travelers to go through a faster security screening process.

This means qualified travelers will not need to remove their shoes, certain liquids, laptops, light outerwear, or belts.

People can stop by the airport to enroll in the program.

It costs $85, which covers a five-year membership. PreCheck has more than 450 lanes at over 200 U.S. airports.

The event will go from January 6th to 10th.
