Turkey Sausage and Red Pepper Pizza

Getting started Equipment you will need: large skillet, pizza pan, cutting board, chef knife, pizza cutter, spatula/turner Preheat oven to: 425o
2 links turkey sausage
½ large red pepper
¼ medium red onion
1. Remove sausage from casing, fry in skillet, breaking up meat pieces until crumbled.
2. Chop pepper and onion finely. Set aside. Whole wheat pizza crust (Boboli) ½ cup pizza sauce 2 cups shredded pizza cheese
3. On pizza pan, sprayed with pan spray, place pizza crust. Layer sauce, onion, pepper and cooked sausage. Top with cheese.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is browning and bubbly. Serve with orange slices.

Tips: Turkey sausage is a lower-fat option to regular sausage, yet still has great flavor. Your family won’t even know the difference.
