Two-car crash injures two in Vernon County
TOWN OF FRANKLIN, Wis. (WKBT) – Two individuals are injured from a two-car crash that happened at the intersection of State Highway 27 and County Road J in the town of Franklin in Vernon County at approximately 5:15 Friday evening.
58-year-old Rosann M. Talbot of Milwaukee was driving on County Road J approaching the intersection of State Highway 27, while 16-year-old Autumn M. Butenhoff of Ferryville was driving northbound on State Highway 27. Butenhoff hit the driver’s side of Talbot’s vehicle when she pulled out onto State Highway 27.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and airbags in both vehicles deployed at the time of the crash. Talbot had to be released from her vehicle by the Viroqua Fire Department.
Tri-State Ambulance transported both drivers to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Viroqua Fire Department, Tri-State Ambulance, Sleepy Hollow Towing and George’s Towing all responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
