Two killed in New Year’s crash in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A suspect is now in custody after a New Year’s Day crash that killed two people in Milwaukee.
Police say the victims were stopped at a traffic signal when another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck the median, went airborne and crashed into the victims’ car.
The two victims were the only people in the car. They died at the scene. Their names have not been released.
Police say the driver of the other vehicle ran away but is now in custody.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. Sunday.
