Two men die when car slides off slushy NW Minnesota road
RED LAKE FALLS, Minn. (AP) — Two men from Red Lake Falls are dead after their car slid off a slushy road and wrapped around a tree in northwestern Minnesota.
The Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald reports neither 30-year-old Terry Balderston nor his cousin, 19-year-old Shawn Balderston, were wearing seat belts when the crash happened late Thursday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Terry Balderston was driving a 1996 Buick Rivera on Minnesota Highway 32 in Red Lake Falls when he lost control of the car.
Terry Balderston was pronounced dead at a hospital in Thief River Falls. Shawn Balderston was pronounced dead at a Crookston hospital.
The two were the only people the car.
