UPDATE: Verona police say missing 16-year-old was found safe Friday night.

A 16-year-old Verona girl is missing after leaving her family to go to a New Year’s Eve party Wednesday night.

Verona police said Emily Hodge was last seen on Enterprise Drive on Wednesday evening. She told her family she was going to a New Year’s Eve party and hasn’t been seen since.

Police don’t know if she actually attended a party.

She does not have a vehicle and may have been picked up in an unknown vehicle. Police said her absence and lack of communication is out of character for her.

Hodge recently moved to Wisconsin from Idaho and is a student at the Verona Area High School.

She is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, brown hair dyed red, and is believed to be wearing a tan and black cardigan sweater, white winter coat with gray and pink accents, blue jeans with an upside down horseshoe on the back pocket and prescription glasses.

Anyone with information of her current whereabouts, or where she was on New Year’s Eve, is asked to call Verona Police Department at 608-845-7623.
