UPDATE: All lanes are open following multiple crashes on I-94 near Eau Claire

UPDATE: According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, as of 3 p.m. all lanes on I-94 have been re-opened.

No injuries or fatalities were involved in the westbound crash. Only minor injuries were reported in that crash. Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department and Osseo Fire and EMS assisted the State Patrol.

Drivers planning to travel on I-94 in Eau Claire and Trempealeau Counties may need to find another route. Both I-94 East and West are closed because of multiple crashes.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, as of about 10 a.m., I-94 East is closed near County Road HH because of a crash.

A WisDOT camera at the scene shows a semitruck in the ditch and another semitruck angled across the interstate. Two other semitrucks are in front of the crash, and one appears to be damaged in the front.

A crash on I-94 West also shut down the interstate at US 10 as of about 10:30 a.m.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said it expects the closure to last more than two hours.
