UPDATE: Lewiston woman in good condition following accident with semi

WINONA, Minn. — A Lewiston woman is recovering at a La Crosse hospital after colliding with a semi near Winona Tuesday morning.

LaVonne Reps was driving north on Highway 43 south of Winona when she crossed the center line and hit a southbound semi head on.

Gundesen Lutheran said Wednesday Reps has been upgraded from critical to good condition.

The driver of the semi, Lonnie Helland, 57, of Spring Valley, Minnesota, was not injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the accident.

The Minnesota State Patrol says LaVonne Reps, 54, was driving north on Highway 43 south of Winona when she crossed the center line and hit a southbound semi head on.

Reps was take taken to Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse. The driver of the semi, Lonnie Helland, 57, of Spring Valley, Minnesota, was not injured.

The State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
