Update: Statewide Silver Alert has been cancelled, man found safe
BIG BEND, Wis. (WKBT) — UPDATE: An alert cancellation has been issued saying Mattick was found safe.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice has issued a statewide Silver Alert for 77-year-old man John F. Mattick of Big Bend Wisconsin.
Mattick was driving to Waterford for a fish fry around 6:00 p.m. last night when he went missing according to authorities. They say he was driving a blue 2010 Honda Fit with the license plate number 930-VTD.
Authorities say the 5’11” man was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket. They say he wears eyeglasses and may be wearing jeans. They also say he has gray, balding hair, a beard and blue eyes.
Mattick has dementia and does not have his medication for diabetes according to authorities.
Authorities ask that you call the Big Bend Police Department at 262-662-2311 if you see Mattick.
