EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) — It’s time to dig out the snow boots and shovels. Forecasters say parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota are in store for some measurable snow.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday night through Wednesday morning for portions of west central to far north central Wisconsin and far southeastern Minnesota.

Forecasters say west central Wisconsin could get 6 inches or more with areas to the west picking up 2 to 4 inches. Rain mixing with the snow is expected to hold down totals.

Any measurable snow probably won’t be around for long. Mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 50 are expected by the end of the week.
