UPDATE: Wisconsin man sentenced in triple fatality
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Madison man has been sentenced for a drunken-driving crash that killed three people last year.
Bradley Erickson was sentenced in Dane County court to 13 years in prison — four years for each person he killed and one year for causing bodily harm to a fourth victim.
WISC-TV reports Erickson also was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years of extended supervision.
Erickson pleaded no contest in August to charges that he drove drunk down a Wisconsin interstate and slammed into a disabled vehicle, killing three people.
Killed in the crash were two prospective students at the University of Minnesota — 19-year-old Marcus Johnson of Milwaukee and 23-year-old Wilfredo Ugarte of Puerto Rico. Also killed was 20-year-old Elysia Rapp of Racine, a student at Century College in White Bear Lake, Minn. A fourth person was injured.
