UW-L falls to No. 2 Mary Hardin-Baylor, 41-22

UW-L football faced their second nationally ranked opponent in two weeks and fell 41-22.

After a 10-0 start for Mary Hardin-Baylor, the Eagles and freshman quarterback John Tackett drove down the field to set up a Joshua Fischer 30 yard field goal to bring La Crosse within 7.

From there, Mary Hardin-Baylor would go on to score three consecutive times including two touchdowns to make the score 27-3 going into the fourth quarter.

On the first play in the fourth, a Tackett to Tony Bilderback touchdown made the score 27-9.  Later on in the quarter, Tackett would lead the Eagles to another touchdown through the air to Tony Favre, bringing the UW-L within 11.

Mary Hardin-Baylor would score two more touchdowns en route to a 41-22 victory over the Eagles.

UW-L has a bye next weekend before traveling to UW-Whitewater.
