UW-L football falls to nationally ranked St. Thomas
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WKBT) — UW-L is shut out in their second game on the road against St. Thomas.
The Eagles came into the game fresh of their season opener against the University of Dubuque. Freshman quarterback Colton Pedersen took the reigns after starter Trent Cummings had to sit out due to an injury.
La Crosse fell early after giving up 14 in the first quarter and could not keep up.
They ended the day falling 0-46.
While a shut out loss is never easy, Eagles senior linebacker Mitch Hawkins says they’ll stay positive.
“We’re still a team, we’re still together. Nothings really changed. Our aspects, our aspirations, our goals is taking things one week at a time and we’re going to put this one in the rear view mirror and move on to tomorrow”.
The Eagles host the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) next week in their home opener.
