UW-La Crosse and WPR give the community a chance to learn about Cuban refugees
LA CROSSE (WKBT) – UW-La Crosse and WPR are giving community members an opportunity to learn about the life of a Cuban refugee.
The lecture will cover “The Mariel Boatlift” when thousands of Cuban refugees were sent to live in Sparta.
People will get a chance to hear the stories of some of these refugees.
This free event is open to the public and starts at 7 in the evening on Nov. 15 at the UW-La Crosse Student Union.
