UW-La Crosse claims men’s WIAC All-Sports trophy
MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) — UW-La Crosse won the men’s trophy for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Sports Awards for the 2013-14 academic year.
The title is the second straight and 18th in school history for UW-La Crosse.
The Eagles claimed men’s conference championships in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.
UW-La Crosse was followed in the men’s rankings by: UW-Whitewater; UW-Stevens Point; UW-Oshkosh; UW-Platteville; UW-Eau Claire; UW-Stout; UW-Superior; and UW-River Falls.
UW-Whitewater won the women’s and combined awards.
The three All-Sports Awards are given annually by the conference. Points for the awards are given according to the final conference standings in each sport on a 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis, or 8-7-6, etc., depending on how many schools compete in each sport.
