UW-La Crosse hosts seventh annual Miss Remarkable Pageant

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Some remarkable women got to show off their skills and build up their confidence.

The 7th Miss Remarkable Pageant at UW-La Crosse gave women over the age of 13 a chance to compete for the Miss Remarkable crown.

There were 11 contestants vying for the title this year and everyone was considered a winner.

“It is just a big part of our mission at APTIV, to make sure women with disabilities understand what great human beings they are,” said APTIV President and CEO, Jenny Felty. “What they have to offer us in the community, us in the world.”

Participants got the chance to do workshops on public speaking, self-esteem, and confidence building.

Money raised from the pageant will go to supporting disabled people in the La Crosse community.
