UW-La Crosse’s Screaming Eagle Marching Band begins practices
Band will show their skills Wednesday on campus
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Classes for UW-La Crosse students don’t officially start for about week but that’s not stopping the marching band from preparing for its first performance.
UW-La Crosse’s Screaming Eagles Marching Band was out practicing today in their first week of band camp. This year the band has about 100 new faces.
With a handful of performances coming up in the next couple of weeks the camp is a way for all 150 members to get on the same page.
“There are a couple of components obviously the marching style and the things that we do, that’s what we’re working on right now. Obviously learning a lot of music, through the course of the year we will probably play about 30 pieces of music,” said Screaming Eagles Marching Band Director Tammy Fisher.
The Screaming Eagles will be showing off their skills this Wednesday afternoon across from Centennial hall.
