UWL holds annual winter commencement
Students at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse are closing one chapter of their lives as they start another one.
UWL held its winter commencement Sunday afternoon.
Despite a weekend of extremely cold temperatures and a snow storm, the ceremony went on as planned.
The four colleges within the university graduated students Sunday, including the school of education, college of business administration, liberal studies, and science and health.
Graduate Evan Barrett says he values the education he received at the university.
“Making myself a better young professional. that’s not something I felt like I was really prepared for, but after the amount of classes and classwork that I’ve done, the experience that I’ve gotten, I’m ready. I’m ready to take it on,” Barrett said.
Viterbo University held their commencement Saturday afternoon.
