UWL partners with J.F. Brennan to help students join the workforce

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — UW-La Crosse and J.F. Brennan are starting a new partnership.

J.F. Brennan–an environmental contracting company–will collaborate with UWL to give environmental science students tools to move on to the workforce.

The plan is to give students more hands-on work that will help them get used to using technology they would use on the job.

“We’re looking to bring in these people as either interns or full-time employees, so in the summer months as an intern for instance, they’re out on our projects doing the work they’ve now learned in the classroom,” said J.F. Brennan President Matt Binsfeld.

UWL Chancellor Joe Gow and Binsfeld officially signed off on the partnership Tuesday morning.
