Vehicle rolls in Wisconsin crash, killing 2 teen girls
PACKWAUKEE, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in south-central Wisconsin say two teenage girls have died after the vehicle in which they were riding this weekend crashed and rolled.
The Marquette County sheriff’s office says the 18-year-old driver has been jailed on a number of tentative felony charges.
The crash happened Sunday just before 1 a.m. in Packwaukee. Authorities say the vehicle rolled over, ejecting 17-year-old Brittney Griffey and 16-year-old Kristin Eggert of Princeton.
A WISC-TV report says both teens were airlifted to a hospital, where they died.
Authorities say alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
