Verna Mae Visgar, 83, of Necedah, died Sunday, May 9, 2021 at her home. She was born March 2, 1938 to David and Helen (Weber) Fowler in rural Elroy.

Verna was a member of the Royall High School Graduating Class of 1955. After high school she attended the Beautician School in Eau Claire. She became an instructor and taught Cosmetology for 15 years. She owned and operated her own hair salon in Camp Douglas. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, and a member of the ladies aid. Verna loved spending her time quilting. She made hundreds of quilts that she mostly gave away to family and friends. Verna had a loving heart. The world would be a better place if there were more good-hearted people like Verna. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Timothy (Penny Reynolds) Nielsen of Necedah, 2 stepdaughters, Ronnie (Lonnie) Richerdson of Colorado Springs, Sheri (Dan) Wolter of Sauk City, a step-granddaughter Andrea Kirschner, 4 step-grandchildren Troy, Bentley, Brakynly and Tenley, many other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers Donald Fowler and Art Fowler.

A Funeral Service will be held on May 15, 2021 11:00 A.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church, N9498 1st Ave. Camp Douglas. Pastor Ronald Davidson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
