Vernon County reports second COVID-19 death
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — The Vernon County Health Department Monday was notified of a person who died from complications of COVID-19, according to its Facebook page.
The resident, a woman in her 60s who was recovering at home, is the second Vernon County resident to die from the coronavirus.
“Our team would like to express our deepest condolences to family, friends, and those impacted by this loss of life,” the department said in a statement.
The department urged the Vernon County community to stay home with any symptoms of COVID-19, wear a cloth mask when outside of the home, wash hands frequently with soap and water, always practice physical distancing of 6 feet or more when around people who are not members of your household. Follow all public health guidance to reduce the disease transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
