Victims of Northwest Wisconsin Crash Identified
SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff’s authorities say two people killed in a weekend traffic crash in northwestern Wisconsin were from the Twin Ports.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department said Monday Bernard Smith III of Superior and 25-year-old Jenna Suomi of Duluth, Minn., died when their vehicles collided head-on Saturday morning on Highway 35 in the Town of Summit.
The Superior Daily Telegram reports (http://bit.ly/jj0v9A) that Suomi was a passenger in one vehicle and Smith was driving the other. The driver of Suomi’s vehicle was injured and taken to Essentia Health in Duluth.
