Vikings trade down from pick 25 to 31, select TCU DB Jeff Gladney

After selecting Stefon Diggs’ apparent replacement in Justin Jefferson at No. 22 overall, the Vikings traded the 25th overall pick to the 49ers for the 31st overall pick, which they used on TCU cornerback Jeff Gladney.

The Vikings had a gaping hole at corner after DBs Xavier Rhodes, Mackensie Alexander and Trae Waynes departed via free agency.

As part of the deal with the 49ers, the Vikings will receive a fourth and fifth round pick in this year’s draft.

The Vikings have three selections in Friday’s second day of the NFL Draft, which begins at 6 p.m. CT.
