Vikings trade WR Stefon Diggs to Bills

The Minnesota Vikings have traded wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills, according to a report from FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Vikings are acquiring a 1st-round pick, a 5th-round pick, a 6th-round pick and a 2021 4th-round pick for Diggs and a 2020 7th-round pick.

Diggs was under contract with the Vikings through the 2023 season after signing a five-year, $72 million deal in 2018. After Kirk Cousins signed his two-year, $66 million extension earlier today, Diggs tweeted from his verified Twitter account, “It’s time for a new beginning.”

Diggs had 63 receptions for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns this past season. In 2018 he caught 102 passes and was targeted 55 more times than 2019.

The Vikings now have 13 draft picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, which is still on for April 23. Two of those picks are first-rounders (No. 22 and 25).
