Volunteers needed for the Red Kettle Campaign
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Familiar sounds can be heard from store fronts all over the area.
The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign kicked off on Saturday.
Thousands of bell-ringers are taking on the cold for this yearly tradition.
Red Kettle donations make up approximately one-third of The Salvation Army of La Crosse’s annual budget, which supports all of their programs.
The campaign has continued to be a success because of the community’s support.
“The more we can partner and do things together as a community, the more successful we are, and the more awareness gets out there as to the needs in the community. We’ve got many things that The Salvation Army does to support those in need,” Cheryl Brenengen said.
Bell ringers are always needed.
