Volunteers preparing for library book sale
La Crosse Public Library to hold first book sale since beginning of pandemic
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Volunteers are busy moving thousands of books and other items to their main hall for a book sale.
This is the first time a sale is being held outside of their book sale room in the basement.
Sales have been on hold because of pandemic, so there’s plenty to buy.
“We have a wonderful accumulation of way more than ten-thousand books and items,” says Wendy Butler, Chairperson of Friends of the Library Book Sales.
You can buy items individually or fill a bag for $5.
The book sale opens for a members-only sale on Friday evening at 5:00-7:00pm, and a sale open to the public on Saturday at 10:00 am-2:00 pm.
To get to the book sale, enter through the parking lot doors facing 9th Street.
