Southern Minnesota voters head to polls in special election
20 candidates run for chance to run for late Rep. Jim Hagedorn's seat
LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) — Voters in Minnesota reported to the polls Tuesday to decide who will advance to the August election for Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District. A total of 20 candidates from four parties are running for the late Congressman Jim Hagedorn’s seat.
Hagedorn died in February after a long battle with cancer. The polls closed at 8 p.m.
