Voting Caravan and Activism Fair held in La Crosse
The event encouraged everyone to participate, regardless of political affiliation
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Many local organizations came together Saturday to hold an absentee voting caravan in La Crosse.
Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin partnered with other area organizations to educate people on voting.
The Caravan began at the Old Shopko parking lot before making its way downtown, where they held an activism fair at Riverside Park.
La Crosse Organizations, businesses, and artists engaged with attendees on being involved within their community.
The event encouraged everyone to participate, regardless of political affiliation.
“This is a non-partisan event. So people will be able to meet the groups in the area, see ways they can get involved, during this election and afterward. Because activism and fights for change have to stay going 24/7 no matter how this election goes,” said Benjamin Wilson, an organizer with Citizen Action Wisconsin.
