Wade Charles Messerschmidt

Wade Charles Messerschmidt passed peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on April 12, 2022, after his battle with cancer.
Wade was born to Charles and Lenora “Polly” (Weinrich) Messerschmidt on September 18, 1954, in Rochester, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm outside Dover, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1972.
Wade was able to spend his life doing a job he loved: truck driving for Nessler Trucking, Tim’s Transport and Nessler Grain. When he wasn’t on the road, you could find him in the shop, the garage or tinkering on tractors in the barn. He loved watching Westerns and “MASH.”
Wade is survived by his wife, Jean; four children, Jennifer Messerschmidt of Rochester, Desi Messerschmidt of Rochester, Charlie Messerschmidt of Wisconsin, and Troy (Laura) Frey of St. Charles, and four grandchildren, Aaron Grover, Autumn Grover, Katie Frey, and Dillion Frey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Suzie, and baby brother, Larry.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at the Hoff Funeral Home, 519 St. Martin Ave, St. Charles, MN.
