WAFER needs volunteers to help pass out food Saturday

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — You can help WAFER as the food bank works to feed people in the La Crosse area.

Volunteers are needed for a monthly food distribution from 9:30 to noon or 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

At least 10 more volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to noon or 12:30 p.m. are needed at the La Crosse location.

The effort will be outside, so anyone coming to WAFER is asked to plan clothing and gear appropriately.

Help also is needed ahead of the distribution to help assemble food packages.

Donations from Rotary Lights also need to be sorted.

Anyone who can help is asked to e-mail info@waferlacrosse.org or call (608) 782-6003, extension 3.
