Walker, governors prepare for Harley ride

Gov. Scott Walker will be joined by other governors and about 100 combat veterans on a motorcycle ride through the streets of downtown Milwaukee.

The ride caps off the first day of meetings Friday of the National Governors Association.

Just which governors will be joining Walker on the ride is a secret. Walker says that Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin took lessons and will be along, but it’s not clear how many of the 21 other governors at the meeting will join in.

Walker is an avid biker and owns a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road King.

The ride is in conjunction with the 110th anniversary celebration of Harley, which is based in Milwaukee. The ride ends at the Harley-Davidson Museum.
