Walker’s Administration touting success while in office
Presentation part of economic forum in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Governor Walker’s administration was in La Crosse Tuesday touting the successes of what he’s already done in office.
They were part of the presentation at the economic forum put on by the La Crosse Area Development Corporation.
It focused on local and state economic development reforms, including ones put out since the Governor took office.
“Just putting more money in the pockets of people who earn it, to some of the jobs success we’ve had,” said Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch. “Over 100,000 people have been put back to work in just the last 3 years; over 13,000 net new businesses created; the state budget has a surplus; there’s some real success stories to talk about.”
During Tuesday’s economic forum leaders also talked about local initiatives and how the TIFs in the La Crosse area are faring.
